Hepatic resection (HR) is considered the gold standard for the treatment of colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM), but only a minority of patients (15–20%) is eligible for it because of general health status or presence of comorbidities (1,2). In addition, patients with small single hepatic metastasis could not be ideal surgical candidates due to their localization (3).
