Welcome to the Laparoscopic Surgery!

Published: 2017-10-16

Dear friends ,

In the last years hepatobiliary and pancreatic laparoscopic surgery have made giant steps forward. Many countries launch national and international prospective databases of LS. The first guideline is now available for laparoscopic liver surgery. In the same way, minimally invasive surgery has grown with many options for surgeons.

As a new international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal, Laparoscopic Surgery (LS) is dedicated to providing free updates on hepatobiliary and pancreatic laparoscopic surgery and general surgery. LS is aimed at promoting the development of laparoscopic surgery around the world. It will provide a professional platform for the sharing of experience in LS between peers so that all patients may benefit from advances made in technique and technology. This new journal focus will be emphatically on instruction and education. Quality video clips, photos, schematics of laparoscopic surgical procedures will be accepted. Articles will be solicited from recognized experts in their fields, while submissions for peer review will also be considered.

This journal bought to be a distinguished editorial board, bringing together a team of highly experienced specialists in the treatment and research of laparoscopic surgery.

At this landmark moment for LS, I would like to thank all our colleagues for their assistance and efforts to make possible the launch of this newborn journal. I warmly welcome you to join this voyage as an author, a reader, a reviewer… and as a friend!
