Laparoscopic Surgery (LS) is now a member of the Surgery Journal Editors Group (SJEG)

Beginning in September 2022, the Laparoscopic Surgery (LS)adopted the Surgery Journal Editors Group (SJEG) joint statement and pledges to "strive for diversity in the peer review process and among the editorial boards and editorial leaders."

The Laparoscopic Surgery (LS; Laparosc Surg; Online ISSN 2616-4221) is an international, open access journal focusing on the latest research and techniques about laparoscopic surgery. The journal aims to cover new findings in laparoscopic hepatobiliary, pancreatic surgery and any surgery that applies minimally invasive technique, as well as to provide current and practical information on diagnosis, prevention and clinical investigations. Specific areas of interest include, but not limited to, multimodality therapy, imaging, technical advances related to hepatobiliary diseases, pancreatic surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery.

Currently, more than 100 surgical journals have signed on to this living pledge, which can be found on the American College of Surgeons website under the Surgery Journal Editors Group tab (https://www.facs.org/member-services/sjeg).
